EMBARKING ON A NEW PATH IS ALWAYS A LITTLE INTIMIDATING…

Embarking on a new path is always a little intimidating; and when that path is making art, it sounds almost like madness: like an attempt to find otherwise lost meanings, by being radically other than the ordinary.

But madness does not mean lack of sense, nor does it mean confusion. Above all, it does mean that we cannot affect reality is a positive way – not even when we find ourselves in a society that is eager to consume everything, especially that which some obstinately continue to call art.

Simone Del Sere has chosen to seek his own path towards understanding reality, through the manual labour of making art.

Our fleeting, fragmented present, shaped by technological acceleration, has embroiled all of us, leaving us often dazed and confused, and has paved the way for immaterial and virtual products that do not exist in the physical plane, but are nonetheless present on our screens, making them real in terms of our visual perception.

But Simone Del Sere has chosen a different path.
